You may OPT OUT IF:

  • You can dispose of your household waste on your own property without creating a nuisance, health hazard, or water pollution.
  • If you have commercial service at another location within Muskingum Township, you may dispose of your household waste at that location.
  • TO OPT OUT: Please submit this opt out letter.

Step 2: Take note that residents are automatically placed into service Option 1.

Step 3: If you do NOT want service Option 1, call Kimble by JUNE 16 (1-800-201-0005 Ext. 9404).

Step 4: Residents who do NOT have a Kimble cart will receive them beginning June 19. If you do not receive a cart by July 1 contact Kimble (1-800-201-0005 Ext. 9404).

Step 5: If you are NOT a current Kimble customer, you will need to contact your current hauler to be sure they cancel your current service effective June 30, 2023. For those residents that are already Kimble customers, your service and rate have been automatically adjusted according to the contract.

Here are the the Service Options Available with the new contract:

Service Option: Cost per Month: Description:
Option 1 – Full Service $21.45 /month Includes contents of your Kimble supplied 96 gal cart plus ten 30-gal bags or yard waste
Option 2 – Cart Only Service $16.45 /month Limited to contents of your Kimble supplied 96 gal cart
Option 3 – Customer Supplied Cart Only Service $16.45 /month Limited to contents of a customer owned 96 gal cart OR three 35 gal bags/cans
Option 4 – Customer Supplied 30 Gal Only Service $13.45 /month Limited to contents of one 35 gal bag/can

FAQs

Q: What if I’m not a current Kimble customer?

A: If you are NOT a current Kimble customer, you will need to contact your current hauler to be sure they cancel your current service effective June 30, 2023. For those residents that are already Kimble customers, your service and rate have been automatically adjusted according to the contract.

Q: I currently don’t have trash service, will I be required to have it?

A: No, If you can dispose of your Household Waste on your own property without creating a nuisance, health hazard, or water pollution. If you have commercial service at another location, you may dispose of your household waste at that location.

Q: Do I have to switch if my current carrier is different than Kimble?

A: Yes

Q: Will there be a senior citizen rate?

A:  Not specifically but you can elect the lowest level of waste disposal (one 35-gallon bag/can at $13.45 per month).

Q:  Can I recycle?

A:  Yes, beginning July 1, recycling will be available 24 hours a day at two drop off locations; Oak Grove Fire Station and the Muskingum Township Building in Devola.

Q:  Will the township or Kimble bill me for the selected service?

A: Kimble will bill each individual account.

Q: What is the start date of Kimble’s new contract?

A: The start date is July 1, 2023
